Alexandros Economou practice covers all areas of corporate, commercial and banking law, with particular focus on corporate acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, restructurings and reorganisations, on banking and finance and in capital markets, securitisations and private equity transactions. He also specialises in real estate matters.
My Story
Alexandros practices in Cyprus and manages the sister office of GCE Economou, Alexandros
Economou LLC (www.economoullc.com). He now divides his schedule and attention
between the two offices.
Prior to incorporating Alexandros Economou LLC in 2014, his prior professional experience
included Chrysses Demetriades & Co. LLC for 16 years (of which 9 as a partner), the Cyprus
Commission for the Protection of Competition and Healy & Baillie, LLP (New York).
He is admitted to the Cyprus Bar, the Piraeus Bar and the New York Bar. He is also a
qualified Insolvency Practitioner and a Certified Person under CySEC rules on certified
persons (Advanced).
Alexandros holds an LLM (International Legal Studies) from New York University School of
Law (1997); an MA (Politics and Contemporary History) from the London Guildhall
University (1995) and his LLB from the University of Sheffield (1994)
Alexandros now balances is a frequent visitor to GCE Economou and works closely with the
legal team there on.
