Alexandros is a member of the Cyprus Bar Association, of the New York Bar and of the Piraeus Bar Association. He holds an honours LLB degree from the University of Sheffield, an MA degree in Politics and Contemporary History from the London Guildhall University and an LL.M. degree in International Legal Studies from New York University School of Law. Alexandros was for over 10 years a partner in one of the leading Law Firms in Cyprus. He has worked as a visiting attorney with Norton Rose in Brussels and London.
He is now the managing partner in the Cyprus Law firm Alexandros Economou LLC.
Alexandros has provided advisory services to the Commission for the Protection of Competition in Cyprus. He has lectured (part – time) at the European University of Nicosia on European and Competition Law and on U.K. Constitutional and Administrative Law. He has also tutored public servants in European Union law in preparation for the EU concours during 2003 – 2004.
Alexandros is a Fellow of the Center of International Legal Studies, a contributor to legal publications and a frequent speaker at international gatherings. He specializes and is assisting the firm with problems relating to competition, anti-trust, e-commerce, internet law, domain names, cyber law and EU Law.
